Privacy Policy
Peekable is still in early access. This page explains the main categories of data the hosted service currently stores and how that information is used.
Peekable helps teams share mockups and localhost previews, collect element-level annotations, and review work through shareable URLs. The list below is meant to reflect the product as it exists today.
1. Information Peekable stores
- Waitlist emails submitted through the early-access form.
- Account and API-key records such as name, email address, generated API key, and account status for invited users.
- Session content including uploaded or pushed HTML payloads, session names, source-path metadata, and relay target details for proxy sessions.
- Annotations and events such as element selectors, notes, viewer names, click events, timestamps, route paths, and related feedback metadata.
- Access-control data such as hashed view secrets, view-secret cookie tokens, and session epochs used to protect private shares.
- Operational logs and debug metadata such as IP address, user agent, request timing, errors, and similar server-side diagnostics when generated.
2. How Peekable uses the information
Peekable uses this information to create and operate accounts, host shared sessions, deliver annotations and feedback, protect private shares, troubleshoot problems, monitor abuse, and respond to support requests.
3. Cookies and local storage
Peekable uses a view-secret cookie for protected shares. The annotation overlay may also use local storage in the browser to hold draft annotations before they are submitted. Peekable does not describe any advertising or third-party tracking cookies on this early-access site.
4. Sharing and disclosure
Peekable may share information with infrastructure or service providers only when needed to host, secure, maintain, or support the service. Peekable may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, or the public.
5. Retention
Peekable keeps information for as long as it is reasonably needed to run the service, support users, investigate abuse, or comply with legal obligations. Because the product is still in early access, retention practices may change as the service evolves.
6. Your choices
If you need help with your data, have a privacy question, or want to request removal of a waitlist or account record, email hello@peekable.fyi. Peekable will review requests in light of the product's current early-access capabilities and legal obligations.
7. Changes to this policy
Peekable may update this policy as the service changes. When it does, the updated version will be posted here.
